I am Dr. Pamela Stewart MD in Garden City, KS
I love riding my bicycle. It is a time to slow the world down, adventure and listen to nature and the breath and the heart. A rich time for prayer if not too many cars / semi’s passing by (of course the prayer then is don’t hit me and hope the wake does not blow me off the road).
Starting in 2005 I really started to enjoy the time on my bike, and with my dear friend, Michelle, we did our first BAK. But then life got in the way and I had lost that time for a long while. Then in 2024 the 50th annual BAK (https://bak.org) bought my attention. Back to biking and brought along some new friends.
Now BAK is an annual event for me. Also sprinkling in a few other exciting rides, like the Die Kapellan (https://tourdiekapellen.com) in Hays, KS.
Hope you will be a regular visitor and maybe be inspired to look at the world around you on 2 wheels powered by your own effort (maybe 3 wheels or an e-bike) The sun, the wind, the birds… seize the adventure!
